REGISTRATION VISIT:
The first time we meet is during the registration meeting; where both you and your pet babies meet Granny. At this time Granny asks lots of questions about the pet babies. Every house has family rules, these rules are about special  routines and habits of the pet babies. Granny wants to know the important things, like which are the favorite toys, what are the special treats, and when and how to give them!!!  Granny just loves treats!!  Granny also finds out things like: are any of the pets afraid of storms, or, where are the special hiding places, what words do they best respond to, will the cat come to a meow? The more the Granny knows the more comfortable she can make her special visits.  Granny will also get a key at this time, and payment for the first scheduled pet sitting.
PAYMENT TERMS:
Payment is due at the start of the service.  Payments can be made with either check or cash.  You will receive a call approximately 48 hours before your scheduled departure verifying the scheduled date and number of visits, and reviewing the amount due.
.UNPAID BALANCE:
Payment is due prior to departure.  After departure has occurred, any unpaid balance will accrue a late payment fee of $2 per day
Sleep Rover Party (over night visit):
Is your pet afraid of the dark?  Or does your pet become overly anxious if left alone for too long?  Some animals do become too lonely and need extra care.  The Pet Granny can spend the night to assure comfort for your pet, as well as additional security for your home.   The sitter will arrive around 10 PM and will remain until the following morning around 6 AM . This schedule allows for the normal morning and late evening routine, with a short walk as needed.  Additional visits during the day can be added and will be charged at the normal fee per visit.
NOONER CLUB:
Do you always feel like you are on the run?  The NOONER CLUB  is designed for you to experience guilt free ownership of your pet,  and still deal with your very busy and demanding schedule.  If you are frustrated at the fact that you are giving up your lunch break to see to their needs; Granny can help.  If you have a recurring schedule of 5 or more times a week that you would need us to check on your pets or let your pets outside ...then you and your pets need to be a part of the NOONER CLUB. The Midday visit lets your pets out for a potty break, and the monotony of being home alone is broken up with a little play and a walk.
INDOOR/OUTDOOR PLANTS:
Tending to plants while we are in the home is a part of the visit.  The first five indoor plants are free of any charge, additional plants will have a slight charge.  During the summer, you may be absent long enough to require the yard to be watered.  Because of the amount of vegetation on the property, and specific requests, all outdoor plant care is quoted on an individual bases.
PET SUPPLY PICKUP:
You have gotten every thing ready for the trip, and you are ready to walk out of the door.  Suddenly you realize you do not have enough pet food to last for the length of time you will be gone, and the litter is low too!!!   Don't worry, Pet Granny can help, we will shop for you.  Cost of supplies and shopping fees will be collected when you return home.
GRANNY TLC TIME  EXTENDED CARE:
Some animals need extra love to remain comfortable and calm, even though they are in their own home. Or, they may be ill and require a bit more attention during a difficult time.  The Pet Granny will spend as much time in your home with your animals as you find sufficient.
PET FIELD TRIPS:
Does your pet need to go to the veterinarian or is it time to see the groomer; and does your personal schedule conflict with being able to get these things accomplished? The Pet Granny will pick your pet up and transport  them wherever you need them to go.
EMERGENCY KEY DROP OFF:
Have you locked yourself out of the house?  Don't call a locksmith, call or text Granny.  Granny will bring you her key so you can get back in your home.  Make sure you have The Pet Granny telephone number programmed in your cell for just this sort of emergency.
HOUSE SITTING NO PETS:
There may be a time when you are going out of town and will be taking your pets with you, however, you would still like the plants watered, and light rotated.  The Pet Granny will bring in the mail, water five indoor plants (free), rotate lights and blinds, and do a walk through of the property to ensure all remains safe in your absence.  Also, in the event of severe weather, The Pet Granny will make an extra visit to check on the property, confirming there is no damage.
PET VISIT JOURNAL:
With our regular visits we provide an electronic pet journal where Granny will take pictures and videos of your pet babies with her iPhone.  Granny immediately forwards these pictures and will send text to keep you involved with what is happening while you are away.  These electronic journals are fun, informative, and something you will want to share with your family, friends, and associates.  We understand that leaving your pet family behind can be a bit unnerving, so we hope this service will allow you a greater sense of peace while you are traveling.

ADMINISTER MEDICATION:
The Pet Granny has been trained in how to administer medication.  We have experience in giving medications, both liquid and pill, as well as experience in giving shots.  In addition, should your pet require hydration due to liver or kidney problems, we have also been trained in this procedure.
Pallaitive Care (Hospice Care)
Facing the impending loss of your beloved pet is one of the most difficult experiences a pet parent will ever have to cope with.  As your pet's health declines, you may elect to care for your pet at home with palliative care (hospice care).   However, your work schedule and life style may not allow you the additional time for the additional care required to see that your pet's discomfort and stress is minimized.   Palliative care is a growing area in veterinary medicine, therefore, it is very important that you discuss this intensive home care and all that it requires with your veterinarian prior to making your final decision.  There will be medications to administer, possibly bandages to change out, close observation and recording of your pet's behavior, weight, temperature, eating habits, mobility, and over all well-being.  The Pet Granny works with the supervision of your veterinarian to help guide the end-of-life experience.  The Pet Granny can visit as often as you choose to assure that your pet is comfortable.  The Pet Granny checks to see that the pet is not wet or soiled; and will assist your pet in getting up with a sling or towel, if need be, to go outside to urinate or defecate. The Pet Granny can provide fluid therapy, perform general nursing duties, and keep a record of all critical information required by the veterinarian to assure the best care.  Granny will also text or call you if there is a sudden change that would require your personal attention and/or the veterinarian.
Palliative care is an option for those individuals that wish to have an extended good-bye or are opposed to euthanasia.  Pet hospice is not a place, it is a personal choice and philosophy that includes death as a part of life; and holds to the belief that the death can be dignified.  The goal for your veterinarian and The Pet Granny is not to cure your pet's illness, but instead to guarantee a peaceful end to the life experience.

Dog Waste Removal:
"There's no messin' around with Granny."
DOG WASTE REMOVAL
Many people have misconceptions about the dangers dog waste poses to the well-being of our family, our yards, and the overall environment.  Did you know...unlike cow or horse manure, dog waste IS NOT a fertilizer.  Dog waste is extremely high in acid content and can in fact burn your lawn and leave "hot spots."  Nearly 20 years ago the EPA classified dog waste as a dangerous pollutant.  Dog waste was put in the same category as toxic chemicals and oils.  Just one gram of dog waste can contain as many as 23 million fecal coliform bacteria, which seeps into our groundwater and can spread salmonella and giardia.  When the waste is allowed to remain in our yards, it eventually decays (sometimes taking up to a year to decompose) leaving behind, in the soil, eggs from parasites such as hookworm, ringworm, tapeworm, or salmonella. Or, the fecal matter becomes a major contributor to storm water pollution as it is dissolved by rains and carried into the storm drains; which ultimately ends up in our area lakes and streams.  Dog poop is more than just a smelly nuisance in your yard, it is a serious health risk.  With the Granny's help we can keep your yard clean, and your family and pets healthier.
